Belgium isn’t boring. It (and the Low Countries in general) is one of the most concentrated loci of civilization on earth, built up over the course of centuries in a small space. Cities like Bruges, Antwerp and Ghent are among Europe’s most historic and interesting. The Flemish contributions to Renaissance painting and music are second to none. And the food and beer are great.
